Feel the evening breeze coming off the salt water as you sit by your campfire. Before you, darkening skies reveal a myriad of stars while the moonlight dances atop the waves. When you decide to retire for the night, listen to the waves as they caress the shoreline, their soothing sound will have you fast asleep in no time.
While having your breakfast, the morning sunlight shimmers over the cove. Watch the Blue Herons and Seagulls as they seek out their next meal, meanwhile, Lesser Yellowlegs and other birds feed along the shoreline. Have your binoculars handy as several other species of waterfowl frequently make an appearance.
Watch the entire Cove empty and fill with the tides. This is a truly amazing sight. As the tide goes out you can go beachcombing, clam digging or just enjoy a great leisurely walk. See if you can find a sand dollar. Don’t worry; you will have plenty of time to return before the water reaches the bank again as there are approximately 13 hours between High tides.
