Platinum RV is reinforcing its Southwestern Ontario presence with the acquisition of Erin-based Under the Stars RV

“We could not be more pleased about this rare opportunity allowing Platinum RV to acquire one of the best family-owned and managed RV businesses in the area with similar origins and values to our own,” Platinum RV’s statement reads.

Platinum RV President John Krohnert considers it “an honor and privilege to welcome the entire Under the Stars team to our family.”

The acquisition of the RV dealership formerly known as “Georgetown RV” will add to the scale of Platinum’s business serving Canada and the Northern United States, collectively adding more than a century of RV industry-focused customer service, technical service expertise, and sales experience to its customer family and industry.

With the acquisition, Platinum now presents a wide offering of trailer brands and floorplans from Forest River, nuCamp, Crossroads, Gulfstream, East to West, as well as customer trade units and consignment units.

“Deciding to sell Under the Stars RV was a very difficult decision, but choosing to sell it to Platinum RV was not,” said Rene and Pat of Under the Stars RV. “The talents and strengths of our teams will position our combined organization in a trajectory of continued success for years to come.”

Rene and Pat will continue to serve as service manager and office/ parts manager for the next two years as they start their semi-retirement plans. Customers will continue to be serviced by the Platinum RV and Under the Stars team, maintaining the great reputation that has been built over the years.

“We all thank you for your continued support while transitioning into this new venture,” the statement ends.
