On Wednesday, St. Clair Region Conservation Authority (SCRCA) has announced thatfor the authority’s three regional are delayed for the 2022 season.
According to a report, avid campers of the St. Clair region () will have to wait a little longer to book .
Originally scheduled to open on January 10, Alvinston‘s A.W. Campbell , Petrolia‘s Lorne C. Henderson along with Warwick Conservation Areas will open on March 21.for transient on
The decision was made following the province’s announcement, which reinstated COVID-19 restrictions as a pandemic response.
“Because of the increase in COVID-19 cases and the government response, we are uncertain as to what capacity we will be able to operate ourthis season,” said Greg Wilcox, manager of conservation areas at the SCRCA.
“We would rather delay acceptingthan cancel at a later date,” Wilcox added.
In the 2021 and 2020seasons, the SCRCA restricted transient and refused to permit groups to in addition to other restrictions, to ensure the safety and health of staff and visitors.
“We appreciate the patience and understanding of ourcommunity, and we look forward to welcoming campers back this spring for a fun and safe season.” he ended.
