Details about Westcorp’s second phase on the hugeat the Hiawatha and have been released, a report said.
Recently, the company submitted a request to the City of Kelowna regarding a parkade as well as three towers. The application will be reviewed by thein the fall.
The proposed parkade will stand four stories high and have a total of 1,218 stalls. There will also be green space on the fourth floor. Thewill also have a roundabout on Lakeshore Road that will serve as an entry and exit point.
The first tower will rise 18 stories tall and contain 130 units. These units will range from studios to two-bedroom apartments. The second tower will contain 158 apartments units and the third tower will include 143 units.
This second phase is part of a largerof Hiawatha’s and . The area will be developed into a with 1100 units and retail.
The first phase, which consisted of 200 townhomes with two- or three-bedrooms, was constructed in June. Westcorp expects occupancy to start next spring.
