The Oliver Fire Department responded to an incident of a structure fire on early Monday morning. A report said they arrived to find a motorhome and a car burning south of the town near Road 5.

Oliver Fire Department Spokesperson Rob Graham said they had two officers on the scene and a fully involved RV on fire. Another vehicle had caught fire, but at that time, there were no firefighters at the scene yet.

“When they arrived, we were able to set up our lines and get the entire structure down.”

Graham stated that both vehicles were badly damaged after the fire. There was no information about what caused the fire.

There were no injuries sustained as both vehicles were empty.

“It was located in the same area in which we had a prior fire just a few years ago, and a packing facility had been destroyed. The vehicles were set up upon the cement slab left by the former packaging house.”

The firefighters quickly put out the fire to stop the spread to nearby structures and orchards.
