The remains of a 68-year old Calgary hiker who disappeared just five months ago were discovered, a report said.

On September 8, Calgary police and RCMP have reported that hunters found human remains within the Sandy McNabb campground area, approximately 81 km from south Calgary.

Medical examiners determined that the remains belonged to Stanley Stooshinoff, who was reported missing in the Turner Valley area on May 20. Police say that the death is not considered to be suspicious.

Stooshinoff was last been seen leaving his home in northeast Calgary at around 11:00 a.m. on the 19th of May. It was believed that he had taken a hike through the Turner Valley area or Sheep River Provincial Park.

The next day, RCMP found his green Hyundai Tucson in the Sandy McNabb campground, southwest of Turner Valley.
