A massive Wednesday morning fire that was raging in Abbotsford, British Columbia has been put out, authorities confirm.

Abbotsford police confirmed that the blaze has been extinguished just after 2 p.m.

A holding lot located at Sumas Mountain Road and North Parallel Road was the scene of the fire, burning several recreational vehicles and filling the sky with black smoke.

“This truly was a team effort from all involved to prevent further damage and spread,” the service said in a tweet.

The RV facility fire happened in the Sumas Prairie, which has been the site of significant flooding.

The City of Abbotsford has stepped up its evacuation order on Tuesday evening, urging residents living in the prairie to leave immediately in anticipation of more flooding.

An evacuation order was announced earlier on Tuesday for the entire Sumas Prairie to the Chilliwack border in the eastern Fraser Valley after the torrential weekend of rain.
