Revolution RV, located in Enderby, British Columbia, has raised thousands of dollars of gifts for those affected by the White Rock Lake wildfire, a report said.

The owner Mike Jewell says he came up with the idea to get some attention for his company via Facebook, but most importantly, to assist people whose lives were impacted due to one of the most destructive fires of recent times.

Jewell reached out to customers who own other businesses to ask if they would be willing to contribute for the purpose.

Jewell amassed close to $5,000 in various items, ranging from gift cards, gas cards to a $1,000 battery pack.

“I got some outdoor stuff, too,” the man declared of the donations.

Jewell posted the names of all those who donated to the organization on its Revolution RV Facebook page.

He also gave 50 percent off propane for fire evacuees.

The store was able to draw the names of five customers, and each one was awarded between $700-$1,000 worth of goods.
