Check Out Duck Mountain Provincial Park’s Winter Wonderland Adventures

Duck Mountain Provincial Park‘s (Saskatchewan, Canada) giant maze is back this year and is now available at the Fern Campground so that you can explore the maze even in winter.

However, the snow maze isn’t the only thing you can do at the Duck Mountain Provincial Park.

According to a report, Duck Mountain Provincial Park is famous for its rolling hills, abundant lakes, and boreal forest setting. Accommodations range from wilderness camping to electric campsites and two Camp-Easy yurts to a lodge with modern townhouses and cabins. Duck Mountain offers in-park accommodation in all seasons.

The park is family-friendly and has a range of recreational opportunities. Fish for pike, walleye, or perch in spring-fed Madge Lake, or try one of the various other lakes found in and around the park. You may also bike a section of the Trans Canada Trail or sample one of the other self-guided or interpretive trails. Check out the nearby National Doukhobor Heritage Village site at Veregin.

Those who prefer to wander admiring the beauty of nature in winter can enjoy 78 kilometers of trails in the park on snowshoes. If you like riding snowmobiles, 40 kilometers of snowmobile trails are in the park. If fat-biking is your thing, 12 miles of trails for fat bikes wait for a winter workout.

Snowboarders and skiers can enjoy snowboarding, downhill skiing, and cross-country skiing at Duck Mountain Ski Area.

If you’re looking to play a round of crokicurl, you can do it too!

There’s also a tobogganing hill, skating rink, and guided activities like snowshoeing and bonfire skating parties on Saturdays.

Saskatchewan is famous for its fishing options, and if you want to experience ice fishing, it is possible to try it at Madge Lake. Don’t forget your fishing license! (not required on family day weekend).

If you believe there is no time to complete all of it, why not just stay over for the night. Two options are available to enjoy the weekend: winter camping in the park and the Madge Lake Developments’ cabin rental.
