Alberta Parks to Pilot New Rules Limiting Generator Use

In an effort to ensure peace and quiet in the great outdoors, Alberta Parks (Canada) is launching a pilot program that will limit generator use at certain campgrounds to specific hours.

Starting June 1, generator use will be limited to between 9 and 11 a.m. and 5 to 7 p.m.

The pilot is taking place at the following campgrounds:

Bow Valley and Bow River Campgrounds at Bow Valley Provincial ParkLodgepole and Ferguson Hill Campgrounds at Cypress Hills Provincial ParkGooseberry Campground at Gooseberry Provincial Recreation AreaLong Lake Campground at Long Lake Provincial ParkMiquelon Lake Campground at Miquelon Lake Provincial ParkElkwood Campground at Peter Lougheed Provincial ParkPigeon Lake and Zeiner Campgrounds at Pigeon Lake Provincial ParkWabamun Lake Campground at Wabamun Lake Provincial Park
